Interactive Music NFTs

What started out as a simple experiment in exploring NFTs as a distribution mechanism for music has snowballed into a full-fledged passion project.

The advent of streaming platforms have changed the way we listen to, interact with, and collect music, for better or worse. While digital streaming platforms (DSPs) have made music more accessible, they have also further commodified music, making it more difficult for musicians to make a living, and less personal of an experience for listeners.

I started designing interactive NFTs that empower listeners to explore and interact with music in a new way, which I liken to a digital vinyl-record listening experience. Complete with animations, photo galleries, audio visualizers, lyrics, liner notes, easter-eggs (i.e. konomi code), and more, these NFTs allow listeners to engage with music in a way that is not possible on traditional streaming platforms, and regain some of the personal touch that has been lost in the digital age.
